Fresh 48 Hospital Session – Denver Baby Photographer

There has been some big commotion in my business lately. Mostly due to learning that come fall the rent at the studio I’m at is going to quadruple! I’m trying not to dwell on the fact I’ll be leaving such a fantastic studio that took 7 years to find, but to take this opportunity to explore other areas of desire for photography away from standard portraiture.

Fresh 48

One area being “Fresh 48” – a photo session right in your hospital room post birth. Not to be confused with birth photography, this session is done after some bonding time capturing all the teeny tiny bits of your brand new baby. From the hospital bracelets, to siblings or family meeting the baby for the first time, to nursing if you’re comfortable.

It’s funny, I went to this session and as I walked down the halls of this hospital to the room it occurred to me that I don’t remember the walls of the hospital that my own daughter was born at or even if my room had any art for decor.

Three Little Girls

This family welcomed their 3rd little girl. She has two very happy and proud big sisters excited to hold, kiss, squish, and touch her. Each asking questions about the umbilical cord, to the two year old even wondering in regards tot he baby, “Why she no say cheese?” when I was talking pictures of the two of them together. The entire time spent with this now family of five and grandma, was full of joy and awe of the new little being.

Welcome to the world Little Miss B!
