All she’ll want for Christmas is her….

UPDATE!! December 10th 2017……Finally!!

I cannot believe how long it took for one of these two front teeth to come in. I first posted this in mid May with the images below. This is Miss M over the weekend. (I’m not sure how to duplicate the blog post to post it for today, so I’m updating the one from May.)

Original post from May 14th below….

Two front teeth!!!

If it takes that long for them to come in. This child lost both front teeth within 10 days. Not because they were ready and hanging by a thread, but because she kept wiggling them. She reminds me of myself as a child. I remember wiggling and twisting my teeth and that cracking sound. Oh how I enjoyed it! Now it makes me shiver. Her teacher apparently pulled out the first one and she did the second one just two days ago on Friday night, when she was suppose to be sleeping.

Mother’s Day

All I wanted for Mother’s Day was to get a great portrait of her with this new smile. We had a girls day and traveled downtown by train, played some shuffleboard, ate ice cream, hung out at a bookstore, took the free bus just for the fun ride up and down the outdoor mall stopping to play one of the art pianos in the median, and back home. All the while hoping I’d get a good, fun shot of her being six and with this new smile. But nope, we were having the best time, and instead I lugged our cameras along without bringing them out but once. We got home, watered all of the containers for this year’s container garden, and finally relax in the hammock.

And that is when I got these “portraits”. Definitely not complaining and have already sent them to print.

She is absolutely the greatest joy and most amazing thing to ever happen in my life. I love her beyond my own understanding.

Happy Mother’s Day to you and yours.
