I can’t believe Lauren’s (co-founder of Belly Bliss) adorable boy is already one. This photoshoot took some planning and crossing of fingers for cooperative weather and child. There were two goals; one – breastfeeding shots being backlit by the sun and two, Leo’s 1 year images. While we had a looming storm cloud hoovering over us during the breastfeeding shots, we definitely got some great stuff with the setting of the sun for Leo’s one year images. (See tomorrow’s post.)
Breastfeeding image are so beautiful to me. There’s something so tender and loving about them. A care, a cradle and an interaction unique to every child and mother. What I like about these images is Leo is 13 months old. Much older than what many may deem as appropriate and acceptable. Personally, I hope to breastfeed my own daughter, Maya, as long as she wants. The World Health Organization recommends for at least a year and the international age of weening is 4 years old. I’m thinking about a year and half.
Because there were way too many favorites to narrow down to just one blog post, I’m breaking it up into two post. Check back in again tomorrow!
