Such a fun couple! I was really looking forward to shooting downtown after a lot of holiday sessions recently in more park like and very green areas. Hard to believe these were shot in November and after needing to reschedule since it was freezing and threatened snow on the first day we had planned to do this shoot.
What crazy lighting we had on the bridge. The sun was setting on one side but reflecting of the glass buildings from the other. Great stuff!

One thing I love about my work, is I get to watch so many kids grow up. I get to know certain personality traits, smirks, and smiles that I see and capture throughout the years.
Like this little, handsome guy for example. I’veĀ photographing him since he was in his mother’s womb. There’s a couple of shots I’ll do each year, if I remember, to show development and height. Like the swinging shot. Which he might be too tall to swing next year.

The first and last images kill me! Love her expressions!

Little dirt doesn’t hurt?! Right? We had some fun exploring one of my favorite industrial locations. From playing with rocks and sticks to checking out the railroad tracks and .
I’ve been photographing her since she was born. Followed her through her Baby Year Plan (last set) Then in between for holiday sessions and now she’s two!! It’s so great to watch them grow up and interesting to see with each session the same facial expressions or mannerisms.
